The Handiwork Clash Sneak Peek
Once
upon a time in a land far, far away in a region where dreams come true
and possibilities were endless there resided a beautiful fairy that
encouraged others to not only dream the impossible but also achieve it.
This
wondrous fairy had helped many a folk on her planet to invent creative
solutions to life situations. She was very good at
it. The people prospered with inventive, artful living spaces
and
life styles. It was a very nice planet where peace reigned
and
people assisted one another. It was a land where scarcity
didn’t
exist.
On
this particular day she was thinking about the village in the frozen
lands that she had helped. The people there had never seen
wonders in their lives because survival itself was just such a
difficult task when eking out a living in a frozen wasteland.
Oh! She really amazed the villagers with a surprise which
proved
that life just didn’t have to be so hard. The looks of wonder
from young and old alike was a moment that she would cherish forever.
Already
a year had gone by since she had visited the village in the tundra, the
fairy reminisced. It had been such a joy to open the door on
creativity in that village! It had started out so bleak and
forlorn, people old before their time with worry lines on their faces
and hunched backs from the constant labor to stay alive in the cold
wasteland. The villagers attempting without success
to get
warm in a land where the sun never shone. Generation after
generation never knowing any other way of life.
The
village was too far off the beaten track, so the people never knew
anything but hardship and drudgery – so unlike the rest of the world
who knew illusions could become real and creating a world of beauty was
possible.
Once
the villagers realized anything was possible, the once desolate and
bleak landscape had been turned into such a beautiful island in the
middle of nowhere, The white landscape was decorated with
twinkling stars, gorgeous colors and melody. The people added
their own handiwork to the spectacular winter wonderland, their life no
longer drear.
Just
thinking about the song of “Ooooh’s” that were spontaneously voiced
when new wonders were first shown brought the biggest smile to the
fairy’s face! And, to see the first imagination image pop
into
reality was such a spectacle to behold.
Before
even deciding to go visit, the fairy found herself fluttering into the
air. It must’ve been the huge smile that gave her buoyancy.
Whatever it was, decision made, off the fairy went to see how the
village faired.
